Cooking Instructions
Prepare the Sauce:
- In a large bowl, combine MTK Sate Chilli Oil, MTK Soy Sauce, vinegar, garlic, ginger, sugar and sesame oil.
- Add 2 tbsp hot water and mix until sugar is dissolved and sauce is well combined.
- Taste to test the flavour; add more MTK Chilli Oil for heat, vinegar for tang, or more water if sauce is too intense.
Cook Dumplings and Serve:
- Cook dumplings according to pack instructions, ensuring dumplings are thoroughly cooked through.
- Once cooked, add dumplings to sauce bowl and toss through to evenly coat all dumplings.
- Divide dumplings into serving bowls and garnish with MTK fried shallots, spring onions and sesame seeds.
- Optional: top with fresh chilli slices, chopped coriander and crispy MTK Wonton Wrappers strips for a crunchy texture (preparation instructions below).
- Serve immediately while dumplings are warm and toppings are fresh and crisp.
Serving Tips:
- To make crispy Wonton Wrapper strips, thinly slice thawed wonton wrappers and lightly fry in hot oil. Strips crisp up quickly, should only take 5-10 seconds. Transfer to a paper towel lined plate to absorb any excess oil to keep strips crunchy. Add to dish prior to serving.
