Ingredients

Serves 4

800g Chicken thigh or breast, cut to 3cm pieces

Bamboo skewers, soaked in water for 30 mins

Marinade:

2 Tbsp Mrs Tran’s Kitchen Light Soy Sauce

2 Tbsp Mrs Tran’s Kitchen Premium Oyster Sauce

1 Tbsp Mrs Tran’s Kitchen Premium Fish Sauce

2 Tbsp Mrs Tran’s Kitchen Peanut-Free Satay Sauce

2 Lemongrass stalks, minced

3 Garlic cloves, minced

1 Tbsp Honey (or Brown Sugar)

½ Tsp Ground pepper

Dipping Sauce:

2 Tbsp Mrs Tran’s Kitchen Peanut-Free Satay Sauce

1/3 cup Mrs Tran’s Kitchen Coconut Cream

Protein Options:

Substitute chicken for pork, beef or firm tofu

Cooking Instructions

  1. Combine all the marinade ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
  2. Add chicken pieces into marinade, mix to ensure all pieces are coated and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, preferably overnight.
  3. Thread 4-5 pieces of chicken onto skewers.
  4. Cook skewers on oiled skillet or BBQ on med-high heat, for 5-6 minutes on each side or until cooked through. Serve hot with coconut satay dipping sauce.
  5. To make dipping sauce, combine MTK Peanut-Free Satay Sauce and MTK Coconut Cream and heat up in a saucepan or microwave for 30 seconds.
