Sticky Chicken Wings

Ingredients
1kg Chicken wings
1 Cup Rice starch or corn starch
Salt & pepper, to taste
Oil for frying
Sticky Pineapple Sauce:
1/2 Cup Mrs Tran’s Kitchen Pineapple Sweet Chilli Sauce
2 Tbsp Mrs Tran’s Kitchen Light Soy Sauce
2 Tbsp Honey (optional)
2 Garlic cloves, minced
1 Tsp Ginger, grated
Optional Garnish: Chopped spring onions, sliced chilli, coriander or sesame seeds.
Cooking Instructions
- Pat dry chicken wings with paper towels. Season with salt and pepper. Coat each wing in rice starch or corn starch, shaking off any excess.
- Heat oil to 180°C and fry wings in batches for 8-10 minutes, or until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
- To make sticky pineapple sauce, in a saucepan combine Mrs Tran’s Kitchen Pineapple Sweet Chilli Sauce, Mrs Tran’s Kitchen Light Soy Sauce, honey, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Heat until slightly thickened, about 3-5 minutes.
- Toss the fried wings in the sticky pineapple sauce until evenly coated. Top with desired garnishes and serve.
